An ongoing winter event in Red River is the Torchlight Parade, which is held most Saturdays at nightfall throughout the ski season.
Locals and visitors gather at the base of the mountain to watch the ski patrol snake down the slopes, torches in hand. Fireworks punctuate the the mountain dance, with "Oohs" and "Ahhs" as accompaniment.
The crowd is so enthusiastic, you might need to turn the volume down!
